Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign. The young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son, shall name him Emmanuel.
Isaiah 7:14
The countdown for Christmas has really begun in the twinkling eyes of the little ones. Many that still have a belief in Santa Claus will look for signs of his existence. Similar to some of us that are growing in our faith. We look for signs of God in our lives.
In the reading today from Isaiah, we hear Isaiah tell us that God has brought us a sign of His presence in our lives. It is the birth of Christ, Emmanuel – “God with us.” I’m not sure He could give us anything more pronounced to reveal His presence with us.

As the last minutes of preparation for your Christmas celebrations come to a whirlwind of “to do’s,” pause once or twice, may be gaze upon a nativity scene, and thank God for His presence in your life. This baby laying in the nativity scene is the sign that He is walking your journey with you every minute of every day.
Beautiful message as always! It was great to see you on Saturday. The ordination mass was literally a taste of Heaven! The music moved everyone (to tears in my case) as did all elements of the mass! I kept thinking to myself that i hope they have the exact some music selections in February! I pray that you and the girls have a wonderful, blessed and Merry Christmas! God bless and thank you for your prayers!
