“When I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and every living creature – every mortal being – so that the waters will never again become a flood to destroy every mortal being.”
Genesis 9:14-15
Do you remember the excitement you felt when you saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky when you were a kid? Such a beautiful and magical image in the sky with hopes that there was a pot of gold at the end but then no one could ever find the beginning nor the end. God was just that clever.
His pot of gold is so much more.
God promises Noah in Genesis 9:14-15 that when the bow appears in the clouds, he will remember his covenant that the waters would never flood the earth again destroying all living creatures.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if God would have promised no more storms?
Sometimes I wonder what life would be like without the storms. Then I realize without the storms there are no rainbows. And those rainbows have some spiritual significance about my relationship with God. It’s in those rainbows that God reveals Himself and His promise to see me through the storms. It’s the sign of His mercy, compassion and love that He paints before me.

If I counted the number of storms in my life, I would see the same number of rainbows that were placed before me. Each a significant part of my growth in my journey and each a promise of the deepest love imaginable.
If you are in the middle of a storm or you just came out of one, remember there is a rainbow before you to remind you that you are not alone and you are loved.
